Isabel´s 50!!
San Lorenzo del Escorial is a very special place for me, where I've spent many wonderful moments throughout my life. My parents left me "Solaz" the house in which I hope to spend many more moments in the future, so I'm especially excited to be able to celebrate this birthday with all of you.
Although the program will not change significantly, there are things that we will be updating as the time comes, so we ask that you check the page closer to the event so you stay up to date.

Friday - Welcome dinner
Saturday - Guided tour of the Monastery of El Escorial

Accommodation
All the recommended hotels are in the town center and are adequate, though not really luxurious. The largest one is the Victoria Palace. The pick-up point for the shuttles to the party at "Solaz" and the dinner in "La Horizontal" is just a few minutes walk from all of them.
We recommend making your reservation as soon as possible, as it overlaps with the Summer Course of the Complutense University , and demand around this time of the year is usually high.
Transport
From and to the Airport Madrid Barajas:

San Lorenzo del Escorial is around 70 km from the Madrid Airport, Barajas. Usually the easiest is a ride with Uber or Cabify (price depends on demand, but is usually not more than 70 EUR), official metered taxis are usually a bit more expensive.
You can also rent a car at the airport, but it is very likely that you won't need it during the weekend, other than for the transport to and from the airport.
From the airport you can also access San Lorenzo del Escorial through public transportation using the short range rail network renfe cercanías.

Transport to and from the different events:

San Lorenzo del Escorial is a small village and all events can be reached by foot. Nevertheless taking into account the dresscode for the events in Friday and Saturday evening, we will provide transportation from the center of the village and back. Further details will be communicated closer to the date.
